The length of time that the lights stay on depends on the amount of sunlight received during the day. Most solar lights stay lit for up to 8 or more hours with fully charged batteries. All solar lights require unobstructed sunlight during the day to recharge their batteries.

Replacement is quite easy to do and instructions provided give more information on this procedure.
